FAQ
How Much Storage Does BeeTV Need?
Install size versus real-world footprint, and why free space matters more than the download size.
Last reviewed · Reviewed by the editorial team
Install size is small; sustained footprint is what causes problems.
Typical figures
- Reported install packages have generally been in the 20–40 MB range.
- Installed size roughly 60–120 MB after unpacking.
- Cache growth of several hundred megabytes over weeks of use, dominated by artwork.
Why free space matters more
Android becomes unstable as a volume fills: failed writes, database corruption and process kills. On an 8 GB Fire TV Stick or Chromecast, where several gigabytes go to the system, that threshold arrives quickly. Keeping 15 percent free prevents most of it.
Managing it
Clear cache periodically from Settings › Apps › (app) › Storage, remove unused applications, and avoid offline downloads on small-storage devices.
