FAQ
Is BeeTV Safe to Use?
Safety cannot be verified for an app with no signed official distribution channel.
Last reviewed · Reviewed by the editorial team
The short answer: unverifiable, which in security terms means treat as unsafe.
Why it cannot be verified
There is no publisher signing identity to check a file against, no store review, and no update channel that cannot be substituted. Multiple unrelated parties distribute under the name, so identical version numbers can mean entirely different code.
Concrete risks
- Injected adware and click-fraud modules in repackaged builds.
- Requests for install-from-unknown-sources, overlay or accessibility permissions.
- Malvertising served into embedded web views.
- Malicious mirrors distributing unrelated payloads.
If you have it installed
- Review and revoke permissions under Settings › Privacy › Permission manager.
- Disable install-from-unknown-sources for every app.
- Run a Play Protect scan and act on findings.
- Watch for battery drain, heat and unexpected data use.
