BeeTV Subtitles Not Working
Missing, garbled or out-of-sync subtitles: format, encoding and source causes.

Three distinct symptoms with three distinct causes.
No subtitles appear at all
- The subtitle database the app queries is offline or rate-limited.
- The format is unsupported — ASS, SSA and image-based PGS commonly fail.
- Subtitle rendering is disabled in the external player rather than in the app.
Garbled characters
Non-Latin scripts shown as symbols indicate legacy text encoding. Re-saving the file as UTF-8 resolves it; player settings will not.
Out of sync
A constant offset means the file was timed for a different release; use the player's subtitle delay control. Progressive drift indicates a frame-rate mismatch and requires a properly matched file.
The structural difference
Licensed platforms author subtitles against the exact encode they serve, with accessibility review. Community databases cannot guarantee a match, so mismatches are the expected condition rather than a bug.
